Alana's Dress
Again, it's been a while since my last posting. Since the last entry, we've found out we're expecting a little girl. I'm 24 weeks pregnant now & feeling great. My tummy is finally starting to grow & this calms a lot of unfounded fears that i have. But i guess i have no reason to worry. Girls are smaller & don't take up that much room in my tummy. SO different from my boys.
Every day i have an "A-HA!" moment when i realize that i'm actually gonna be a part of the girlie world. This means pinks & purples, ribbons & lace, dresses & pantyhose, etc, etc, etc. Just the other day I was watching the boys at play with their dump trucks & trains & thought... which one of these toys would Alana be fighting over? Then i realized, "A-HA! She'd be playing with her dollies!!!" I loved it. I can't believe i'm gonna have a girl!
My neighbor here at km81 is going to a wedding this weekend & had a cute little dress made for her 1 1/2 year old. It was so cute that I thought, "I could make one for Alana!" So I did. It's light blue with yellow ribbons (PICS SHOWN). It was so much fun that now I can't wait to try out different patterns for other cute dresses!
That's all for now. If any of my faithful readers have any dress ideas or pointers from their sewing experiences, please feel free to comment!
G&P,
Cynthia
